Bringing a taste of authentic regional Italy to Old Oakland, this new bar and caffe backed by importer Paul Ferrari (of A.G. Ferrari) and newly two relocated chefs from Italy slings antipasti (salumi and formaggi), fresh pastas, wood-fired Neapolitan pizzas and affordably priced secondi such as zuppa de pesce (all under $18), complemented by all an-Italia wine wines and a full bar that pours cocktails, aperitivi and digestivi. In addition to the dinner menu, Borgo, which means village, is open in the morning for Italian coffee, freshly baked pastries and light lunch fare, which can be enjoyed to go, or in the historical storefront (previously home to B Restaurant) outfitted with antiques brought over from the chefs' homeland to further the old world vibe.
