Now Open: Aveqia Restaurant-Cum-Cooking School

A cosy meal at home or dinner in a fancy restaurant? Thanks to Aveqia in Farringdon you can now do both on the same evening.

The new restaurant-cum-cooking school concept is where you and a group of friends or colleagues can get together to cook a meal with the help of a top chef - some of whom have worked at restaurants including The Fat Duck, Le Gavroche and Alain Ducasse  - and then sit down to eat in a relaxed and informal setting.

The focus is on Nordic food (they company is big in Sweden with branches in Stockholm and Gothenburg) and the current menu includes traditional dishes like spice-flamed venison and truffle almond potato mash. The food studio is cleverly designed with kitchen islands each attached to their own dining room and flexible sliding doors that can make each area bigger or smaller depending on the size of the group. Invite all your friends, cook, eat, drink wine, chat. And then don't worry about the washing up.
