Nougatine Gets Two Stars From the NY Times

We've always been a fan of the lunch deals at Jean Georges' Nougatine (in fact, the prix fixe is one of the best buys in the city) and now Pete Wells also admits that he is taken with the restaurant in his review this week. He awards the joint two stars, calling it "one of the most dependable" of the JGV eateries. He does single out the desserts as a problem area, signaling that Johnny Iuzzini's departure might be a hiccup for the restaurant (he's been replaced by Joseph Murphy) but other wise finds a lot to like in the dining room, which was recently remodeled. That spruce up went a long way to garnering these stars - read the full review here to see what else the critic praised.
