five-course dinner to benefit A Life Story Foundation tonight at 7 PM, with guest chefs including April Bloomfield (
The Spotted Pig,
John Dory Oyster Bar,
The Breslin), Seamus Mullen (
Tertulia) and Carlo Mirarchi (
Roberta’s,
Blanca) creating dishes like agnolotti, pan-roasted red snapper, and more. The evening runs $250, and reservations can be made by emailing

Tuesday
Cider fans should head to the
Astor Center between 6-8 PM for a tasting of the apple-based beverage from over a dozen New York, Virginia and Massachusetts cideries, paired with local cheeses. Tickets for the event at $30 and

Wednesday
Edible Manhattan hosts a
Meet Your Maker event tonight, a night of walking, drinking, snacking, and touring one of three local Brooklyn businesses: Brooklyn Brewery, Mast Brothers Chocolates, and Ovenly. Tickets for the evening run $20 and include admission to the after-party at Brooklyn Brewery.
Thursday
Sake fans can drink their fill of the rice wine at the
Joy of Sake event from 6-9 PM tonight at the Altman Building. $90 gets you tasting privileges to over 300 premium sakes along with appetizers from 14 restaurants including
Brushstroke,
Kyoya, and

Friday
Start your weekend perfectly the art of pizza making with a class at the Institute of Culinary Education. Students will learn to make dough for both thick and thin crust pies, explore proper baking techniques, and uncover perfect topping combos. Tuition runs $110 and you can

Saturday
City Harvest holds its second annual Brooklyn Local artisanal marketplace from 11 AM-6 PM today at Pier 1 in Brooklyn Bridge Park. Over 75 vendor booths will be on hand for visitors to sample fare from, and a happy hour tent featuring beer, wine, and special tastings will be open from 4-6 PM. Sunday
Aureole hosts its first
Oyster Social in its outdoor plaza today from noon-7 PM. $75 ($85 at the door) buys you endless oysters and gulf coast seafood creations paired with bloody marys, wine, beer or champagne, with half of each ticket sale will be donated to Citymeals-on-Wheels.
