WeekendThe 8th Annual Vendy Awards comes to Governor’s Island from 12:30-5 PM on Saturday, with the some of the city’s best street food vendors competing for the top spot. Ticket holders can sample fare from all of the contestants - like carne asada tacos from Piaztlan Authentic Mexican Food and lamb gyros from Hamza & Madina Halal Food - and cast their vote for the People’s Taste Award.
