Looks Like the Food at The Barclay's Center Will Be A Slam Dunk

The Brooklyn Nets are warming up for their debut in the brand new Barclay's Center, which is set to open to the public on September 28 for some epic Jay-Z concerts, but it's not the sports or the music that drew the NY Times in for a piece today - it was the food. The Grey Lady checked out the over 35 concessions at the space, which are provided by a slew of local purveyors.

McClure's pickles, Calexico, Fatty 'Cue and other borough eateries will be on hand to keep fans well fed - the entire food experience is dubbed Brooklyn Taste, since so many suppliers are coming from the borough. But, the big question being asked by the joint's developers is, will the folks streaming past the ticket gates want to eat anything other than hot dogs? With a selection like this, we're thinking yes.
