Just Opened: Eleven North in Edgartown, MV

Eleven North in Edgartown, Martha's Vineyard, opened its doors this past Saturday.

Eleven North, a New American in Edgartown, opened Saturday with a party, serving mostly cocktails with light hors d’oeuvres. As the week goes on, there’s a plan to ramp up the food service, starting with dinner then eventually lunch and possibly brunch. The plan is to be open seven days, year-round.

Eleven North joins The Port Hunter as two of the hippest openings in Edgartown this season. It occupies the space formerly home to David Ryan's.

The two-level restaurant has two bars, with more upscale dining upstairs and more casual dining downstairs with high-tops and zinc bar. “It’s Miami meets New York,” owner Jonathan Koerner tells us. The color scheme is monochromatic - gray and some splashes of ocean blue. There are about 90-some seats.

The focus is on contemporary American cuisine, using sources from the island - fish, produce - as much as possible.
