Jardinière Overhauls Menu For Its 15th Anniversary

By Meesha Halm
Has it already been 15 years since Traci des Jardins and Pat Kuleto splashed out Hayes Valley with their glittery champagne-glass-inspired supper club? A lot has changed since the then-rising star Des Jardins left her job at Rubicon to helm her own kitchen at Jardinière. Now after a decade and half, and just in time for its anniversary and the start of opera season, Traci Des Jardin has hit the reboot button on her sustainably and locally sourced Cal-French menu.

We've got our hands on the brand-new redesigned a la carte and tasting menus which as you can see have a new look and layout. Prices overall should remain about the same (depending on how much you order), but the net result is that guests now have more choice in constructing their meal, thanks to an expanded section of first courses and a choice of a la carte sides. In addition, we're told Des Jardins and executive chef Morgan Mueller have "deconstructed the entrees to make them lighter and allow the flavors to stand out." The restaurant will continue to offer a nightly Chef's Tasting Menu and the wallet-friendly ever-changing themed Monday night prix fixe menus. Downstairs in J-Lounge, you'll also find new expanded cocktail, beer and wine menus.
