The Pepper Tree, one of our favourite cheap and cheerful locals in Clapham (voted top Thai restaurant in the 2013 London Restaurant Survey) could soon be opening branches all over London thanks to new investors. It hasn't been confirmed but we are guessing this is the reason Sami Wasif, co-founder of Michelin-starred Hakkasan and Franco Manca have acquired shares in the successful 15 year old restaurant.
Hopefully that makes more Massaman curry for us minus the Michelin prices.
