Oktoberfest is not a time to pay attention to calories, with sausage and pretzels being served to celebrate that par-tay. Red Robin is taking the brew-soaked tradition one step further with a new beer milkshake, made with Samuel Adams Octoberfest draft, soft serve ice cream, vanilla and caramel. Donna Ruch, the master mixologist for the chain, think the pairing is a no-brainer: "Now, our guests don't have to choose between a beer or a shake to go with their burger." Problem solved, indeed.
And if guests want to further Oktoberfest-ify their experience, they can hit up menu items like a burger with beer mustard and Swiss cheese on a pretzel bun. These items are not the easiest on the waist line, so it's a good thing this fest happens only once a year.
