Some say summer is over. We say no way! Not until the autumnal equinox comes around September 22 will we submit to closed-toed shoes and even then...So, we’ll keep feeding you foodie things to do that are either outside or summer-friendly.

September 14, Upstairs on the Square is grilling. The a la carte menu includes skewers of flame-grilled shrimp and native sun-gold tomatoes; 16-oz. cowboy ribeye steak 
(with our own Texas toast); grilled corn-on-the-cob with spicy aioli; BBQ spiced-grilled half Giannone chicken; seasonal vegetables; and white pizza. Outdoor seating accommodates about 20 or so people, so come early to find your place in the setting sun (617-864-1933).

Shōjō, the new modern Asian in Chinatown, is hosting a pig roast September 19. The eight-course meal will include all sorts of sides and fixings (seatings at 6 PM and 9 PM; $80 per person; add $50 to pair with cocktails; 617-423-7888; click here for tickets).
