Governor Scores Two Stars, Dumbo Goes "Boo-Yah!"

For his review this week, NY Times critic Pete Wells visited Governor in Dumbo, awarding it two stars in a boon for both the owners of the restaurant and the neighborhood, saying "the persistent rumors that the neighborhood is surrounded by an invisible fence that keeps out good food may prove to be unfounded. Open since July in a postindustrial split-level space down the street from Bubby’s, Governor is a serious restaurant where fresh, approachable flavors are put through some contemporary flips and twists."

We're also a fan of this eatery - it recently made our hottest new openings list. Well, it just got even hotter - we suspect snagging a resy will be tricky for the next few weeks, as many NYC food lovers are sure to make the journey out and explore this area of town. Read the full review here.
