|Yes, you can buy the T-shirt and eat the stuff at the "What the Fluff?" fest Saturday.|
On Saturday, September 29 (rain date September 30), pay homage to the Fluff 'n’Nutter, that gooey white, sweet marshmallow foodstuff we love to pair with peanut butter. “What the Fluff?” celebrates everything Fluff with an afternoon of games, live entertainment, “Fluff hairdos," Fluff cooking contests and more all taking place at the Union Square Plaza (3-5 PM; click here for more details).
On Sunday, it’s one of New England’s largest food-celebrated fests with the 9th annual Phantom Gourmet Food Festival taking place along Landsdowne and Ipswich streets next to Fenway Park. The regional food and dining show, Phantom Gourmet, knows how to put on a block party with rows and rows of vendors, offering everything from chicken wings, meatballs, grilled cheese, cupcakes, clam chowder, pizza and more. Plus restos participating include Firefly’s Bar-B-Que, Comella’s and Emma’s. Indoor and outdoor bars, music and parties are part of the fun, featuring more than 200 flatscreen TVs on which Phantom “Phans” can watch the New England Patriots vs. Buffalo Bills game. What better way to watch the game than with a slew of tasty treats at the ready? (noon-4 PM; $40 per person in advance; $50 at the door; must be age 21+; click here for tickets and more info).
