First Word: Town Hall Coffee Coming to Center City

Though there are several Starbucks scattered throughout Center City, there are relatively few independent coffee shops in the densest part of town. Those who work at Jefferson Hospital or in the historic district - and anyone who loves great pour-over - will be happy to hear that Tim Noble has signed a lease for a second location of Town Hall Coffee Co. A November opening is targeted for the space, which is in the Franklin Apartments at 9th and Chestnut (the building is also home to Indian restaurant Palace at the Ben).

Like the original Merion branch, Town Hall Coffee at the Franklin will serve coffee and espresso drinks brewed from small batch roasted beans (by Counter Culture and other roasters), as well as assorted fine teas. A quick-serve food menu will include quiche, panini, house-baked muffins, cookies, bread pudding, oatmeal and more. New to the offerings will be a fresh-squeezed juice bar. We’ll keep you posted as the cafe progresses.
