Gramercy residents can yuck it up this weekend at
The Stand, a new comedy club that has been in soft-open mode for the past week that's making it's official debut on September 13. Big name acts like Judah Friedlander and Artie Lang are promised in the subterranean performance space, which features a menu of snacks like truffle salted popcorn. Of course, a full selection of drinks will be served (gotta encourage those laughs somehow) - look for specialty cocktails like The Dice, a mix of Brooklyn Gin, grapefruit juice, agave syrup and Aperol.
Upstairs, there is a full restaurant, and no one will be laughing at dishes like tuna tartare canolis served with yellowfin that's marinated in a miso soy dressing and served in canoli shells.
