|Carmageddon for three? Right this way.|
As we all remember, Carmageddon I was one of the most brilliant times to travel the roads of LA since everyone stayed off of them. We're hoping Carmageddon II isn't the little boy who cried wolf with everyone ignoring all of the warnings. Yuck. But it does create the perfect time to explore your own neighborhood, bike around or take the Metro, and there are a slew of restaurants, bars and entertainment venues offering deals all over town, which is even more incentive to get out. Carmageddon never tasted sweeter.
The city really wants you to take the Metro, and anyone with a TAP card will find cool deals from Pasadena to Downtown to the South Bay. Get free fries or tater tots at the Dog Haus and Dog Haus Biergarten, a discount off of your bill at Casey's Irish Bar & Grille, 10% off food at Far Bar, and even $1 off of admission for The Feast of San Gennaro, which is just across from the Red Line's Hollywood & Highland stop. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Check out the full list here.
A few more food deals: At Malo and Mas Malo, get the Taco 405, a puffy carnitas taco, for $4.05 on Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM-5 PM. Studio City's PizzaRev has half-off dessert pizzas (we didn't try that yet), and Beachy Cream will offer 20% off any scoop, sundae or ice cream sandwich. Keeping it local, any Culver City, Cheviot Hills, Beverlywood and Palms resident can show your ID to receive 10% off your bill at Ford's Filling Station.
For boozers (hey, you're not driving!), Santa Monica's Stella Rossa Pizza Bar will have $4.05 sangrias, Birra Moretti and Peroni all day on Saturday and Sunday, and The Misfit will have $4.05 white sangria both days. Susan Feniger's STREET will have Carbombs for $4.05. Know of more deals? Please let us know in the comments. Everyone loves a bargain!
