Dogfish Beer Dinner Tonight, S'mores on Aragosta Terrace Wednesday

Aragosta will host an end-of-the-summer dinner this Wednesday.
Get your week going with some food-fun events:

Tonight, head to The Biltmore in Newton for a beer dinner starring Dogfish Head craft brews. The five-course menu of American dishes will be paired with seasonal beers and ales from the Delaware brewery (7 PM; $55 per person, all-inclusive; 617-527-2550).

Tuesday, September 25, tapas resto Tres Gatos executive chef Marcos Sanchez welcomes The Dining Alternative chef Peter Ungar to create an intimate dinner party at the Jamaica Plain restaurant. Ungar typically produces meals in private homes, but for this evening, it’s a public affair of a five-course meal paired with wines from Rioja producer Lopez de Heredia (7 PM; $60 per person, plus $30 for wine pairings; seating is limited; 617-477-4851).

On Wednesday, September 26, The Beehive kicks off the season of October Fests with its own Oktoberfest Der Beehive, an evening of rustic German food (sausages, roast pork knuckle) and drink (thanks to Harpoon Brewery), plus live music (5 PM for dinner; band plays 8 PM-12 AM; no cover, cash bar and a la carte menu; 617-423-0069).

As one season begins, another ends. On September 26, join chef David Daniels for an “End of the Summer Wine Dinner” of contemporary Italian fare using New England ingredients on Aragosta’s waterfront terrace. The four-course tasting includes wine pairings, concludes with cappuccino and s’mores by the fire pits and promises exquisite Boston Harbor views (7-7:30 PM for passed hors d’oeuvres; 7:30 sit-down dinner; $75 per person; 617-994-9001).
