Old City is no longer just for frat boys and Jersey tourists. The Khyber Pass Pub is serving serious craft beer to discerning locals, Fork has a new chef and revamped fine-dining menu, and Revolution House is serving gourmet Neapolitan pies. Further proof of the transition: instead of sports pub Mad River, which closed two months back, 126 Chestnut is now home to high-end seafood house Craft and Claw.
Tonight is opening night for the new spot, a venture from partners Max Tucker, John Durkin and Mike Mastellone, who also own Sansom Street’s Ladder 15 and Bond Street Social in Baltimore. We stopped in for a preview visit, and were rewarded with tastes of crab in many forms, plus a very tasty cocktail. Read on to find out when you can get all-you-can-eat crustaceans, what else is on the menu and what to expect when you go.
