It's been a busy year, with big names such as Stephanie Izard and Curtis Duffy making us wait until December before opening the doors of their new spots. Some, including the chefs behind Fat Rice, earn an honorable mention for stellar food that avoided the spotlight. While others, such as Baume & Brix, had star-studded openings with a slew of successful chefs in the kitchen but need more time to work out some kinks. ReplyDeleteErwin was such a horrible restaurant, it is about time it closes. Too much pork and dark meat chicken...never anything on the menu we liked. Was such a shame when Bastille closed. Now that was a wonderful restaurant. Wish Erwin and his wife well. Another business would fit them fine.
ReplyDeleteDid you notice the typo for the restaurant "Two"? - 1132 W. Grant Ave.; 312-624-8363
ReplyDeleteShould be 1132 W. Grand Avenue, IL 60642...phone number is correct though!
ReplyDeleteTWO should be 1132 W. GRAND ave.
ReplyDeleteThe stuff is very informative and helpful.
ReplyDeleteTavernita was lacking flavor ... what a shame! Spanish food without much soul and too high of a price tag. Ambiance of the restaurant is quite beautiful, though ... so go hang out, get a drink, skip the food!
ReplyDeleteWhoa!! nice looking restaurant.Wonder how the menu would be?
