No matter the income bracket, we all know a good deal is welcome to any pocketbook. If you're looking to save a buck or two in the dining scene, there are plenty of bargains across LA, from late-night happy hours to free tacos, breakfast specials and prix fixe menus. Here are 12 that top our list, but definitely let us know your favorites in the comments.
Am I living in bizarro world where $78 cocktails are considered a steal?

"Think $78 cocktails, $5 falafel and $3 beers."
Oof! Now that's a typo! Thanks for calling to my attention. It now says correct price: $8 cocktails.
Deletei could drink $78 worth of $3 beers and still not be drunk enough to order a $78 cocktail.
ReplyDeleteHa! Yes. That was a typo. Corrected price for a cocktail is $8. Sorry about that!
DeleteCheap by whose standards? The 99 cent tacos sound fine, but I wouldn't be calling some of those other choices bargains by any means.
ReplyDeleteBargain is relative here, yes. A $42 meal at Osteria Mozza with a cheese course, pasta, dessert and glass of wine is a steal. That would normally be at least $60+. So it's not necessarily "cheap" food, but more overall deals. If you have some great deals to contribute, we'd love to hear them!
DeleteLeslie.... I am flabbergasted that you would publish Dominick's Sunday dinner!!!!
ReplyDeleteHow about pushing their fabulous breakfast on saturday and sunday.. also a bargain and no big business... sunday night is a zoo.
Flabbergasted because it's popular? Dominick's does have a great brunch on the weekends, but this was about deals. The $15 dinners at all of those spots are great. I think the wine is a bigger steal!
ReplyDeletecheck out the Happy Hour (for both food and beverages) deals at MICHAEL'S, THE MISFIT AND FRAICHE all in Santa Monica.
