Budweiser to Release Limited Edition "Zip Code" Beers Next Month

In an attempt to "hop" aboard the craft beer bandwagon (heh), Budweiser announced that it will be unveiling three limited edition "zip code" beers next month as the product of something called "Project Twelve." In the Spring, Budweiser asked for 12 recipes from its brewmasters and of those, six were chosen to be brewed in small batches, tasted by consumers at summer events and the winners were selected based on their feedback. Named for the area in which they were produced, the three brews - from St. Louis, Williamsburg, VA and Los Angeles - will be available October 29 in a 12-bottle sampler pack. Only one burning question remains - who will write the commercial theme song for these code-oriented brews? (Paging Ludacris.) [via Reuters]
