| Ashmont Grill hosts a Monday Night Wine Club. |
We love Monday Night Wine Club at the Ashmont Grill. Not only because a portion of the proceeds always go to a good cause (such as Future Chefs or James Chittick School), but the food and wine are so good. Tonight, September 17, Wente Vineyards will be featured and paired with small plates. Four courses with camaraderie (6:30 PM; $38 per person; 617-825-4300).
Brooklyn Brewery fans will find a lot to toast about at Tomasso Trattoria September 18. It’s the New York brewery’s final Quarterly Carousal, an evening of food (nibbles by chef Neil Rogers), drink (the brewery’s latest beer, Fiat Lux) and stories (sponsored by Edible Boston magazine, which will be on hand). The hitch? You just need a ride to the Southborough Italian eatery; the evening is free (6-8 PM; click here to sign up; 508-481-8484).
Brian Poe (Tip Tap Room) hosts a Flemish feast September 19 at Poe’s Kitchen at The Rattlesnake in Back Bay when he puts together a five-course meal of traditional Belgian dishes paired with sour ales and lambics. The seating is limited, so sign up ASAP if you are interested (7 PM; $75 per person; 617-859-8555).
Lineage in Brookline is playing host to Elk Cove, a family-owned-and-operated vineyard based in Oregon. Sales manager Craig Hedstrom will be present to talk through the wines paired with five courses prepared by chef-owner Jeremy Sewall and chef du cuisine Rich Morin. Like pinot noir? This is your dinner (6 PM; $75 per person; 617-232-0065).
