Boston Vs. New York: Who Has the Best Food Trucks?

We have the hardcore Boston Red Sox-New York Yankees rival. Soon, we’ll have the inaugural Food Truck Throwdown, “Boston vs. NYC”. Yes, Saturday, October 13, is when the oven mitts come off and seven Boston food trucks lineup against seven New York City food trucks to vie for Best Food Truck. The daylong event is taking place in Dewey Square on the Rose Kennedy Greenway in Downtown Boston.

Participating trucks in Boston are Roxy’s Grilled Cheese, Bon Me, The Cookie Monstah, Staff Meal, Mei Mei Street Kitchen, Lobsta Love and Kickass Cupcakes. Representing New York are Nuchas, Bian Dang, Big D’s Grub, Fishing Shrimp, Mike ‘n’ Willie’s, Munchie Mobile and Wafels & Dinges. The daylong event is free, though you need cash to taste the food.

There will be live music and celebrity judges, including Jenny Johnson of NECN’s TV Diner. C’mon Boston! Come out and wear your Red Sox T’s and bring an appetite (11 AM-9 PM; foodtruckthrowdown.com).
