Best Thing We Ate/Drank Last Night: Plow & Gun's Coffee Float
We love coffee. We love ice cream. We love ice cream floats. So imagine our utter glee on discovering the Plow & Gun coffee soda float at the super unique Altadena Farmers Market yesterday. If you've never had coffee soda, it's exactly what it sounds like - a carbonated cold brew sweetened with piloncill and a dash of cardamom - a specialty of the small coffee company. Owners Ian Riley and Daniel Kent decided to make a unique cold brew for their farmers' market stand, which serves as their "shop," but since they set up next to Mother Moo Creamery ice cream, there's only one thing they could do: coffee soda floats. Choose your ice cream - we opted for salted caramel - and the guys will fill the cup with the bubbly caffeinated pop. It is so good. You can also find the coffee soda floats at Mother Moo's Sierra Madre shop.
