Behold: Candied Bacon Macarons, Coming to the LES

See that photo up there? That's what a bacon macaron looks like. Just thought you should know. With versions of the sweet treat everywhere around town, it was only a matter of time before someone decided to meat-ify them. Macaron Parlour has sold their offerings at the Hester Street Fair and Madison Square Eats, and they are planning to open a permanent shop this month on St. Mark's Place. If you haven't guessed from that pork-infused offering, they go further with their fare than other bakeries. In addition to bacon, flavors like s'mores, snickers and black sesame will be on the menu. Those all sound swell, but we're betting that the breakfast meat will make the above the most popular. The shop will be at 111 St. Mark's Place when it opens, get more info here.
