| Fusilli, anyone? |
This week, we hosted a Presents dinner at
Angolo SoHo, and a bunch of eager diners headed down to get a peek at chef Michael Berardino's market-driven Italian fare. People walked away impressed, and the restaurant is currently open if you want to camp out in one of the black leather banquettes underneath the exposed brick walls. The joint is going for a 1970s cafe feel - dishes like his fusilli with pork ragu or a pork chop that's been brined for 24 hours in salt, sugar and allspice can be paired with craft beers from Italy.
There's also a large communal table in the dining room if you want to make friends with the other fashionable comers (this is SoHo, after all). If you're feeling a weekend visit, the restaurant is now open at 53 Grand Street, on the corner of West Broadway (212-203-1722).
