Last week, we noticed at cryptic online video which seemed to point to the fact that New York's Eleven Madison Park and Chicago's Alinea were gearing up to trade kitchens. Well, turns out that our hunch was true - the Chicago Tribune confirmed that the restaurants will each swap spaces for a week in a collaboration dubbed the 21st Century Limited. It's named after a train that traveled between each city during the 1900s - tickets on that were certainly pricey, but probably nothing compared to the whopping $495 price tag to sit in on one of these dinners (tax and gratuity not included - yikes!).
Eleven Madison will play host to Alinea for five nights beginning on September 26 and Alinea will be hosting Daniel Humm and his team starting on October 10.
