Weekend Planner: A Glass of Wine, 30 Pierogi and 72 Oysters

Drink Pink
The first annual “Real Men Drink Pink” campaign begins tomorrow and continues through next Friday with participating restaurants such as avec, BIN 36, Boka, Frontera, Naha, NoMI, Publican, Rockit, Sunda, Telegraph, Topolobampo, and Webster’s Wine Bar pouring $10 glasses of rosé to benefit Bright Pink, a breast cancer awareness organization.

Polish Fest
Venture to the south side to see a man eat 30 pierogis in five minutes. Guests at this weekend's Polish Fest will also enjoy polka music, carnival rides and games, as well as plenty of Polish food and beer. (708-378-0102).

Oyster Shucking
All week, Frontier has celebrated nation oyster day with oyster week specials, and they are concluding these festivities on Sunday with more oysters. The party kicks off a noon with a DJ and continues with an oyster-eating contest (first person to down 72) at 1 PM and an oyster shucking contest at 3 PM featuring chefs from GT Fish & Oyster, Publican, RIVA Crab House, Quay, Lilly’s Q and more. (773-772-4322).

Street Food
Rather than chasing food trucks around the Loop, find them all in one place. Dokkaebi Tacos, Baby Cakes, Curried, Ice3 and well as pop-up shops and food carts will provide the edible entertainment at Sunday’s Street Food Artistry event. General admission tickets cost $40.
