Last week's Spanish food roundup has given us a taste for tapas so we are excited to hear the Brindisa Restaurant group (Tapas Brindisa, Casa Brindisa) is finally opening their fourth location next week - Tramontana Brindisa in Shoreditch. The new restaurant will have space for 100 covers, an 18 metre dining bar and outdoor courtyard. On the menu: expect speciality dishes from the Spanish Mediterranean which means lots of fresh fish, small game and vegetables cooked with rice or pasta.
Group general manager Victor Calvente added that wines would be as important as the food at the new restaurant, "The area is, of course, home to Cava and so we'll be able to have some fun with this and create an extensive Cava menu as well as an interesting wine list which will showcase some local grape varietals such as the Monastrell and Moscatel and also feature some of the more unusual wines from Spain."
