The Rock Is Back: Mission Rock Resort Now Open

We gave you a sneak peek of this resurrected Mission Bay dive a few weeks ago, but now it's official. After a splashy two-million-dollar renovation, Mission Rock Resort, the totally overhauled waterfront bar and grill located just south of AT&T is open and ready to rock, luring in the crowds with an ambitious midpriced seafood-centric menu and bar program. To recap, the sprawling two-floor wooden building features an upstairs dining room with full windows and an oyster bar that serves till 11 PM (Thursday-Saturday) and a downstairs quick-service cafe offering breakfast and lunch fare; however, you'll find us on the deck gazing out at the boats and knocking back oyster shooters and a piƱa colada. After all, this is one of the rare sunny neighborhoods in San Francisco.

The upstairs restaurant is currently open daily serving lunch and dinner, while the quick-service downstairs cafe will be open from 7 AM-5 PM daily beginning on August 20. Check out the lunch, dinner and bar menus online.

Mission Rock Resort: 817 Terry Francois Boulevard, near Mariposa and 3rd St, 415-701-7625
