West Village restaurant Employees Only pulls out all the stops when mixing your beverage. The mustachioed bartenders spank garnishes, employ eye droppers to add ingredients and generally create some of the most ornate and tasty libations around. All those bells and whistles lend to a great drinking experience, but sometimes you just need a classic. The Negroni our barman stirred for us last night was perfectly balanced - not too much Campari, not too much vermouth and just the right amount of boozy wallop. When we finished, a menu full of interesting and innovative cocktails was placed in front of us. We paged through, thought over the many dazzling options and ordered another round of the same.
