A churro is a churro, right? Wrong. Certain eateries, like SoHo tapas mainstay
Boqueria, do the deep-fried-dough-based pastry exceptionally proud. On a recent trip to the reliably solid eatery, we sampled the gamut of Spanish tapas fare including a platter of serrano and manchego, deep-fried croquetas, pan con tomate and yummy albondigas (lamb meatballs in tomato sauce). But we have to say our favorite bite of the night were the perfectly crispy churros, dusted in cinnamon sugar and served alongside a pot of hot melted chocolate. Boqueria Soho is located at 171 Spring Street.
