The Best Thing We Ate Last Night: Heirloom Board at Laurel Hardware

We popped by one of the trendier new WeHo eateries of late - Laurel Hardware - last night to try out some of the goods. As you might recall, this is the joint whose chef has worked at both Lazy Ox and Freddy Smalls, and as you might expect, the menu here reflects an ingredient-driven, New American sensibility. Our favorite bite of the night was the heirloom board, which featured heirloom tomatoes, cucumber, avocado, burrata cheese, stone fruit and herbs, served with crostini. This dish is like a perfect sampling of summer on a plate - the combo of uber-ripe, fresh produce mixed with the creamy burrata made for one of the more delicious courses of our meal. Laurel Hardware is located at 7984 Santa Monica Blvd.
