The Best Thing We Ate Last Night: Mushroom Ramen at Dassara

While much has been made of Dassara's deli ramen, when we visited this Carroll Garden newcomer the mushroom option proved to be our favorite. The broth was hearty and complex, with the poached egg giving it a nice richness. As for the rest of the ingredients - the mix of wild mushrooms, crisp lotus root, bamboo shoots, scallions and wilted greens ensured that there were more than just noodles in every spoonful. Though we'll likely be back to try the other varieties, this ramen sets the benchmark pretty high (718-643-0781).
