The 9 Best Restaurants in the Chicago Suburbs

Our 2012/13 Chicago Restaurants Guide was just released, and while there are plenty of restaurants featured within the city proper (including the 10 best), it's important to give the city's suburbs the credit they deserve. There are some great restaurants in the outlying areas, including one that received a coveted 29 score for Food. Whether you're looking to head out of the city or you live in the suburbs, click through the below slideshow to see which are the area's best (and let us know your favorites in the comments).

  1. You may want to work on fixing all of the descriptions of the restaurants - half of them are incorrect and are a copy and paste....

  2. Courtright's is a good dining experience with an excellent wait staff and a knowledgeable sommelier. The setting is ideal!

Tall Grass is not as good as it was several years ago, especially given the prices.

  3. What is going on with your description of Wholly Frijoles? Luckily, I was there two days ago and it really is a suburban gem. Can Zagat repost its description? I'd be curious about how other reviewers enjoyed it.

  5. Adelle's is still a great place. We only wish the live jazz occurred more often (maybe a jazz brunch on Sundays?). That music combines so well with great dining!
