Taste of WGBH Set for Mid-September

Greater Boston’s renowned public TV and radio broadcaster will be presenting its Taste of WGBH: Food and Wine Festival on September 13-15, 2012. The three-day weekend extravaganza includes an opening gala reception, chef demos, educational seminars, wine auctions and more.

The gala reception features 20 of Boston’s top chefs - Jody Adams (Rialto, Trade), William Kovel (Catalyst) and Ming Tsai (Blue Ginger) among them - and their dishes paired with selected wineries (September 13; 7 PM; $150 per person). The famous WGBH wine auction, featuring rare and fine wines, takes place Friday, September 14 (6-8 PM; $100). On Saturday, September 15, check out chef demos from the likes of Barbara Lynch (No. 9 Park, B&G Oysters, Menton and Sportello are among her restaurants) and Robert Sisca (Bistro du Midi), educational seminars ($30 each, such as Knife Skills 101) and experience "The Artisan Taste" - samples from craft purveyors and wineries ($60).
