Take Two: London Restaurants Opening Second Branches

Today we are happy to report that many of our favourite London restaurants are branching out. Here is what you need to know:

Kerbisher & Malt 
One of our favourite fish 'n' chip shops in London has just opened a second branch in Ealing that serves the same delicious crispy battered fish as the Hammersmith original, as well as housemade sauces and sides including pickled onion rings and fennel and dill salad (53 New Broadway, W5; 020 8840 4418).



Bentley's Sea Grill
Richard Corrigan is bringing his famous fish pie to Harrods this September. (The Royal fish pie was served at the Queen's 80th birthday). The new opening within the Food Halls will feature a seafood cocktail section as well as a grill (87-135 Brompton Rd., SW1X; 020 7730 1234).

Caravan King's Cross 
The second branch of the Clerkenwell restaurant will open on August 13 in a listed building in King's Cross. The design of the new site will stay true to the area's Victorian industrial heritage, featuring a coffee roastery and open kitchen, but popular brunch and all day dishes (avocado on toast, Parmesan grits, pizza) will stay the same (1 Granary Sq., N1C; 020 7101 7661).

Dishdoom Shoreditch
As reported earlier in the week, the Mumbai-inspired Irani cafe is opening a second branch in east London in October. Like the Covent Garden original, the new space will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as Indian afternoon tea (7 Boundary St., E2).
