SF Chefs Fest: The Feeding Frenzy is Finally Here

Anyone who hasn't been living under a rock knows that the SF Chefs Food, Wine and Spirits festival is taking over San Francisco this week. It's an embarrassment of riches, with more food events crammed into five days than most cities host in a year. We're told that there are plenty of tickets left to many of the top events, including all of the grand tastings being held at Union Square on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Other highlights for the week include: a celebration of contemporary Mexican restaurants (tonight), a conversation about modern cuisine with Dave Arnold and a 49 Square Miles Party hosted by the San Francisco Chronicle (Thursday), the opening night celebration and a panel discussion on channeling Scandinavian and Easter Europe (Friday), a cooking demo with Gary Danko and Joanne Weir and a rare interview session with the San Francisco Chronicle's critic Michael Bauer (Saturday), and a traditional Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony presented by Marcus Samuelsson and the final face-off of the Eater Chef Challenge (Sunday).

Ticket for all these events, along with the complete line-up of events, can be found online.
