Potential for Jose Garces to Open Restaurant in the Divine Lorraine?

Word from The Insider hints that powerhouse chef Jose Garces could be being courted to open a restaurant in the troubled Divine Lorraine hotel. Developer Eric Blumenfeld is hoping to convert the space into rental apartments with a ground-floor restaurant area, and if the $44 million dollar deal goes through, given his popularity Garces seems like a logical choice for the project. The property is expected to go on sheriff's sale in October, so stay tuned.
