If you can't make it to Feast Portland in September, City Grit has the answer. Come August 14-16, Cathy Whims (Nostrana/Oven & Shaker) Devon Chase (Oven & Shaker), Sarah Schafer (Irving St. Kitchen) and Ian Hutchings (LUC) will be making their way out east to cook a five-course Oregon-inspired menu, served with local wines and beers (7:30 PM; $85; purchase seats here).
On Saturday, August 18, 30 Under 30 honoree Gilley Tang and his brother Casey will be hosting a Chinese-inspired pop-up dinner at Carroll Gardens' Court Street Grocers - look out for the cold sesame noodles (a Shorty Tang & Sons favorite) alongside dishes such as sichaun daikon salad, red-braised chicken for two and coconut milk rice crepe (9 PM; $45; BYOB; to reserve e-mail shortytang@gmail.com).
