It’s time again for
Cochon’s Heritage Fire, that annual ritual among the vineyards where whole animal lovers get to watch their favorite chefs play with fire and prepare a menagerie of beasts. Tickets have just gone on sale for the annual meat-fest, which will held on August 25 up in Napa at the River Terrace Hotel along the banks of the Oxbow River. Activities and theatrics will include butchering demos, wine and craft beers tastings, whole animal carving stations and a whole mess of food prepared by 14 chefs including past Grand Cochon winners John Stewart and Duskie Estes (
Zazu) and Jason Vincent (
Nightwood in Chicago), plus Tim Goodell (
Public Kitchen in LA), Jordan Mackey (
Cuvee), John Fink (
The Whole Beast), and Dennis Lee (
Namu Gaji).
Following the afternoon festivities, guests are invited to stick around for the after-party hosted by Jordan Mackey at Cuvee, which will feature even more food and libations. And if that’s not enough piggy out, the following day, Mackey will be preparing a special Chef’s Sunday Brunch with goodies prepared on a wood-fired plancha.
Cochon Heritage Fire, August 25, 3:30-6:30 PM, tickets are $150 person. After party begins at 7 PM, with food and beverages priced individually. Sunday Chef’s Brunch begins at 11 AM and costs $40 per person and includes two drinks. Get tickets and complete info here.
