Oskar Blues Beer Dinner, Corks and Crayons Benefit

Things are getting sudsy over at SmallBar Division, which is set to welcome Colorado-based craft brewer Oskar Blues with a five-course beer dinner. Five courses means five different beers to try - sweet! Each dish will be served with a different label, ranging from Gubna Imperial IPA to Old Chub Scotch Ale. The meal takes place on August 22 - it starts at 7 PM and costs $60 a head. Email smallbar.chicago@gmail.com for reservations.

On Sunday, August 26, a group the Windy City's best chefs will gather at the Greenhouse Loft for the annual Corks and Crayon Benefit. This year's shindig will be hosted by Michael Moody from The Biggest Loser - big names like Heather Terhune (Sable), Richie Farina (Moto) and Mindy Segal (Hot Chocolate) will be in the house to cook up bites, and there will be cocktails and wine to go with. The party raises funds for Purple Asparagus, a non-profit that educates the community about eating good food. The tasting goes down from 4 to 7 PM and it's $70 for adults and $15 for kiddies. Check out info here.
