Opening Omen: Chipotle's ShopHouse Concept Will Be Featured at Cultivate Chicago

Chipotle has made waves with it's fast-casual Asian concept dubbed ShopHouse in Washington DC, but you have to go to the US Capital to try it out. Or do you? We just got the lineup fro the Cultivate Food, Ideas and Music Festival, which is coming to town on September 15, and who is on the list but ShopHouse. To be fair, the fest is being sponsored by Chipotle, and the Mexican chain will have a presence there, but this is the first time Chicago diners will get to taste Shop's fare. They'll be dishing out a jasmine rice bowl with pork and chicken meatballs or organic tofu and green curry.

Of course, we have to take this as a sign that a branch might be in the works for The Windy City. Even if that's not the case, we're still excited for the Lincoln Park tasting, which will also feature grub from many other city restaurants. You can learn about it here.
