Open Call: Which Burgers Are Worth Traveling For?

Everyone has their favorite local burger joint, or even their favorite out-of-town patty that they constantly long for a taste of (cough: In-N-Out), but the truly burger-obsessed will travel near and far to sample the best of the best.   1. Chewys food truck in Philadelphia - their cajun burger is one of the best I've ever had (their other burgers are great too!)

  2. Local Three in Atlanta does a Burger & Brew on Saturdays that is worth the travel. They feature a traditional burger (or two), a lamb burger, a pork burger and a veggie burger. All fantastic and done on Big Green Egg.

  3. Hands down.... Hopdoddy in Austin. Amazing burgers, cool place, chili fries to die for.... Absolutely the best!! Original in SoCo and a new branch has opened in Anderson Lane. Really, you got to go!!!

    1. Just tried Hopdoddy on a recent trip to Austin - it was truly fabulous. Also, love that you can get a delicious cocktail at the same time.

  6. Phil's Last Stand in Chicago, IL!!!! BEST burger I've ever tasted- even better than In-N-Out! Fresh, tasty, juicy and absolutely delious! Definitely worth a trip!!!!!!

  7. Lockdown Bar in Chicago and Flub A Dub Chub's (which is kinda an underdog because I don't think a lot of people know they have burgers) in Chicago.

    And in Royal Oak, MI there is Red Coat Burger. Yum
