R2L, Daniel Stern just introduced new lunch and dinner menus that make the most of August’s seafood and veggie stars. Take a break from the heat and swing up to the 37th floor of Liberty Two for lunch and you’ll be able to choose lobster and crab spring rolls and a flounder cioppino. At dinner, lobster salad combines chunks of the sweet meat with both white and green asparagus, avocado and grapefruit, and if you follow that starter with the vegetarian pot-au-feu, full of seasonal vegetables and heirloom tomatoes over saffron arancini, you’ll satisfy your belly without feeling weighed down (215-564-5337).
Out in Delco, chef Carlo deMarco is taking full advantage of the variety of summer ingredients in a weekly-changing summer specials menu at 333 Belrose. The three-course prix fixe will go for $33 per person, and feature a fun theme, such as this week’s Texas BBQ. Take a seat in the gorgeous garden patio at the Radnor New American and sup on hickory smoked ribs, pulled pork sliders and grilled andouille sausage - and that’s just one of the courses.
