New Cocktails at La Esquina, Brooklyn Pour Fest Dates Set

La Esquina
Cafe de La Esquina just celebrated its one-year anniversary in Brooklyn and the NoLita original has been slinging tacos for seven years now, so it's about time both locations sit down and have a drink. New cocktail lists have been launched at the two outposts, while classics like margaritas will surely still be on the list, the new offerings use more creative ingredients like Lavender bitters and Bergamot tea. There's also a Michelado Caliente, which is a Tecate mixed with house-infused jalapeno tequila, salsa picante and fresh lime.

Beer geeks can mark October 6 in their calendars, because that's when the Village Voice's Brookyn Pour festival will unleash the taps. Last year over 3,000 craft beer addicts cycled through the shindig, which features over 100 labels from the Empire State and beyond. There will be two sessions for tastings and tickets (which go on sale August 22) are $65 for VIP and $45 for general admission. Get more info here: www.villagevoice.com/brooklynpour
