Nantucket Comings and Goings

DeMarco on Nantucket is scheduled to close September 9.

Nantucket’s been abuzz with new openings and some closings.

Arno’s, which originally opened in 1960, is back after being closed for renovations earlier this year, serving an American menu heavy on seafood, plus breakfast (508-228-7001).


The Essex Room, Lounge & Terrace, offering contemporary American fare, opened in June in the Jared Coffin House (508-901-5790).

DeMarco, the “reliable” Italian on India Street, is closing September 9. The space will become a new restaurant, with details still to be decided.
