Goose Island Inferno Imperial IPA Release Party Tonight at Lillie's Q

The latest in the line of chef-driven beers will be released tonight. The Lillie’s Q Inferno Imperial IPA, brewed under the guidance of chef Charlie McKenna with the expertise of Goose Island head brewmaster Jared Rouben, will be poured along with a new bourbon cocktail. These will be the libations of choice at the  release party, which doubles as a fundraiser.

Along with the beer and spirit, guest chefs including Stephanie Izard (Girl & the Goat), Matthias Merges (Yusho), Chris Pandel (The Bristol and Balena), Mike and Pat Sheerin (Trenchermen), Greg Biggers (Café des Architectes) and Chris Curren (Stout Barrel House & Galley) will provide passed appetizers.

The limited-release beer was brewed to pair with the joint's saucy and spicy BBQ - the double Indina pale ale uses three different hops and is infused with inferno chili peppers. The new bourbon cocktail uses 10-year-aged single barrel bourbon combined with Briottet Creme de Banane liqueur, Briottet Creme de Noisette liqueur, and Imbue bittersweet vermouth.

The party, which costs $100 per person to attend, benefits The Katherine McKenna Brothers Scholarship Fund, a scholarship set up to support female student at Brenau University in Gainesville, GA, in honor of chef McKenna's aunt who lost a seven-year battle with breast cancer in 2000.

In addition to the food and beverage, each guest will receive a pink bracelet marked with the initials KMB for Katherine McKenna Brothers, Lillie’s Q’s name and a pig. Anyone wearing the bracelet during a future visit to the restaurant will receive 10% off their bill.

Tickets for tonight's festivities are still available.
