Free Burgers for the Burritt Tavern for the First 50 Facebook Fans

Attention early birds. The good folks at Charlie Palmer's Burritt Tavern are making you an offer you can't refuse, that is, if you love burgers. In honor of their soon-to-be-debuted quick-service lunch burger menu, which will be ushered in on Monday August 6, the restaurant promises to give away a free burger on the first day of service to the first Facebook fans who like this promo on their page. The promotion starts promptly at 10 AM today but if you missed out, no worries. Any one who "likes" their page will receive a consolation prize which they can claim any day next week.

The promotion is designed to bring attention to the fact that the restaurant is jettisoning its (short-lived) formal multi-course restaurant lunch menu to a more quick and casual burger and sammie option. Beginning on August 8, the restaurant will serve lunch Monday-Friday from 11:30 AM-2:30 PM. Aside from the namesake Burritt Room Burger ($16) loaded with bacon and fixings plus herb parmesan fries and build-you-own-patty (starting out at $12), the only other lunch option will include be a grilled vegetable sandwich with tahini mayo, provolone, also served with herb parmesan fries ($10). Both sandwiches are available for eat-in or to-go.
