Former Sottocasa Pizzaolos Will Open Brooklyn Central This Fall

Diners on Atlantic Avenue in Boreum Hill have come to love Sottocasa's pies, and now two pizzaolo's that used to work there are getting ready to open a new pie-joint. Brooklyn Central will be run by Matthew Hyland and Roberto Patriarca - the Park Slope shop will serve Neapolitan-style pizza made with many locally sourced ingredients. And by local, we mean really local - the focus is going to be on getting things from Brooklyn-based purveyors.

In addition to the wood-fired pizza, guests at the 45-seat eatery (in the space that used to house Pete's Pizzaeria) will be able to chow down on house-made charcuterie (which is totally a trend right now) and sip local wines on tap. The opening target is October - stay tuned to 289 Fifth Avenue for developments.
