| The future home of Brooklyn Central |
Diners on Atlantic Avenue in Boreum Hill have come to love
Sottocasa's pies, and now two pizzaolo's that used to work there are getting ready to open a new pie-joint. Brooklyn Central will be run by Matthew Hyland and Roberto Patriarca - the Park Slope shop will serve Neapolitan-style pizza made with many locally sourced ingredients. And by local, we mean really local - the focus is going to be on getting things from Brooklyn-based purveyors.
In addition to the wood-fired pizza, guests at the 45-seat eatery (in the space that used to house Pete's Pizzaeria) will be able to chow down on house-made charcuterie (which is totally a trend right now) and sip local wines on tap. The opening target is October - stay tuned to 289 Fifth Avenue for developments.
